2. Oct 8-10 | 38TH ANNUAL SUGAR LOAF FALL FESTIVAL
Every year, hundreds of residents from Orange County and beyond flock to the arts & crafts hamlet of Sugar Loaf for the annual Fall Festival. This free event set in the landscape of this beautiful fall scenery, celebrates art, crafts, food, cultural performances and live music each day. Festival-goers will be able to enjoy dozens of visiting vendors, as well as Sugar Loaf Village’s boutiques and artisans famed for their wide array of unique handmade crafts and creations – an ideal opportunity to get a jump on holiday shopping!

3. Oct 11| Annual Pine Island Pumpkin Festival | 10AM-2PM
Pumpkin tossing, pumpkin decorating, food vendors, pumpkin weigh-in, pumpkin cookie bake-off, and much more! Prizes awarded. FREE admission. $5 registration, $15 max. per family for contests.; decorating must be done at Pine Island Park within the allotted time. All entries must be submitted by 1PM for judging. Original recipes must accompany each pumpkin cookie submission. Contestants may bring their own pumpkin, or one will be included with registration.

4. Oct 14 | Greenwood Lake Historical Steamboats Lecture | 7-8:30PM
Join historian Stephen M. Gross at the Greenwood Lake Public Library, 79 Waterstone Rd., to learn about these grand vessels that plied the waters of the lake, ferrying travelers from the nearby trains from New York City, to spectacular hotels on the water for a bit of R & R, during the 19th century. Registration required: 845-477-8377 #10. Limited seating; grade 7 and up.

6. Oct 30 | Halloween Breakfast at Rogowski Farm | 8AM-Noon
Cheryl Rogowski’s Farm Breakfasts, each weekend, feature farm fresh eggs, spectacular pancakes, and other farm menu favorites. Because Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, you are invited to come dressed in costume! Prizes and fun for all. For more info, call 845-258-4574

7. Oct 30 | Greenwood Lake Annual Halloween Parade | 3:30-8:30PM
The Greenwood Lake Merchants Guild is having a Halloween event on Thursday, Oct 30th between 3:30 – 6:30. There will be trick or treating at the Windermere Avenue merchants. The Fire Dept Halloween Parade will start at 6:30 pm and march down Windermere Avenue and finish at the Elks Club, where there will be games and food.

8. Oct 31 | Halloween Parade- Village of Warwick | Beginning at 3:30PM
Line up at Church St., across from Village Hall. Walk down Main Street then left onto Railroad Ave., where costume judging will take place. (These streets will be closed to vehicular traffic at the time). Sponsored by American Legion Post #215.

9. Oct 31 | 1st Annual Walk-A-Thon and Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Parade | 11AM
Please join us for the Warwick Valley Humane Society 1st Annual Walk-A-Thon and Howl-o-Ween Pet Costume Parade on Sunday October 31st at 11:00 a.m. at the Warwick Town Park.  For more info and for sponsor sheets contact warwickhumanesociety@gmail.com or call the animal shelter at 845- 986-2473.

10. Oct. 22 | Todd Coolman and Friends Jazz Quartet | 7PM
Tickets $25 each, $15 for students. Grammy award-winning bassist Todd Coolman returns to Warwick Grove with Steve Wilson, Renee Rosnes and John Riley to perform a variety of music from the Great American Songbook, modern jazz standards, and perhaps an original or two. You’d normally have to go to New York City to experience such a showing of jazz talent in one room.  Call 845-988-5274 to secure tickets.  The Warwick Grove Neighborhood Center  is accessible from Forester Avenue.
